Notes | This is the last of four bookplates belonging to C. Gordonsmith in this collection. This design is similar to the previous two plates, with the notable difference of including a maple leaf. The owner in this bookplate is presumably the C. Gordonsmith of Montreal that acquired a large personal library. These books were later auctioned, and C.Gordonsmith's bookplates are now found in books dispersed in various collections. The date for this entry was chosen by the latest reference to the library catalogue of C. Gordonsmith.
