DescriptionBlack ink on white paper. Bookplate design mimics a decorative medieval manuscript. An elaborate letter A is decorated with interlocking swirls and a Celtic knot pattern. Decorative features surround the letter and below it is stylized black font surrounded by black dots. There is also text in the same font above and to the right of the letter A.

NotesMorley Ayearst was born in 1899. He is one of the authors of A list of Canadian bookplates: with a review of the history of ex libris in the Dominion. Ayearst is a bookplate designer. This bookplate is likely by Stanley Harrod, an artist and co-author on the aforementioned book who designed many bookplates.
