NotesThe Canadian Dictionary of National Biography notes that Thomas Aylwin had a library, and the Iegor auction house notes that a bookplate from the Aylwin Library refers to Thomas Cushing Aylwin (1806-1871), a lawyer, judge, and politician from Québec and grandson of Thomas. So it is possible the Aylwin Library was passed down through the family. There are bookplates for Thomas Aylwin and Charles Felix Aylwin (Thomas' son) in the collection.
