NotesThe owner is possibly Hilda Shibley (1896-?) of Haileybury (what is now the city of Temiskaming Shores in Northeastern Ontario), the daughter of John Herchmer (1871-1928) and Margaret Kingston (1869-1957). The winged stag or cerf volant appeared as part of the royal badge of Charles V (1364-80) and Charles VII (1422-61) of France.
