DescriptionIn black ink on white paper. Shield: Or (gold), on a fesse dancette sable (black), coticed gules (red), between three birds sable perched, addorsed and elevated. Crest: a bird sable perched, addorsed and elevated, atop an open book argent (silver) and a crest wreath, argent and vert (green) with mantling.

NotesWilliam Arnold Thomas was born on April 4th, 1859 in Toronto, Ontario. He married Helen Bartow Miller in 1886. Thomas died in 1931 in Toronto at the age of 72. Thomas worked for many years at the Copp, Clark Company, a publisher and wholesaler. The Copp, Clark company is best known as the publisher of the Canadian Almanac, as well as educational materials and texts for Canadian schools. They are also known for publishing works by Canadian authors and for the Ouija Board, which was one of the games that they offered through their games division. The Copp, Clark Company was incorporated in 1885. The major shareholders were W.W. Copp, H.J. Clark, Charles Fuller, Henry L. Thompson, and Arnold William Thomas.
