The Church was established 1904 in the Mile End area and was part of the Anglican Diocese of Montreal until it was deconsecrated in 1991 and sold to the City of Montreal. Since then, the Church has been converted into the Mile End Library and is one of two multilingual public libraries in Montreal. Information about the winner of the bookplate, Margery Green, is unknown A similar bookplate from 1937 is also available in the Philippe Masson Ex Libris Collection at McGill University.
