401.	[Bookplate for Frederick Epplen by F.]	This pictorial bookplate (created with black ink on white paper) portrays in the foreground Chiron (a centaur) and his pupil Asclepius (the Greek god of healing who is here portrayed holding a caduceus) ; these two figures overlook the ocean, a ship, and a temple.

402.	[Bookplate for Sir Charles Cockerell]	Armorial bookplate. The shield is divided in half to show the arms of both the husband and wife. The left shield, representing the husband, is divided into six sections two of which portray roosters, between which is a face surrounded by leaves. Above the top rooster is a crescent signifying the second son. The middle section is argent (silver or white) with two chevrons. The top chevron is adorned with three flowers and at the top and bottom of the chevron are three eagle heads ; the bottom chevron is adorned with three roundlets and above and below the chevron are three flowers or leaves. Between the chevrons and at the centre of the six sections is a small shield with a left hand facing palm-out. The top right corner shows two lion heads and a bend adorned with three fleur-de-lis. On the bottom left corner is a lion. The second shield shows two lions passant guardant on a black background with an or border. Above the shield is a wreathed helm facing forward with a raised visor therein signifying barony or knighthood. Above the helm is a crescent and crowned tiger head. On both sides of the shield are angelic supporters each carrying a flag staff (adorned with the sun and crescent moon) as well as palm/laurel fronds (on which birds are perched). The figures are adorned in robes decorated with fleur-de-lis and their chests are imprinted with crosses.

403.	[Bookplate for George H. Beans]	This is simple black and white monogram design. Within a shield-shaped border is a simple plant growing from three mounds. The text is outside the border at the top and bottom.

404.	[Bookplate for Marjorie Vivien Smith]	A winged horse in flight among stars at night framed by a border with stars and planets is depicted. Bookplate still affixed to a portion of the book cover that has been cut out ; book is "The Voluntary worker in the social services. Report of a committee jointly set up by the National Council of Social Service and the National Institute for Social Work Training under the chairmanship of Geraldine M. Aves" (Beverly Hills, Calif., Sage Publications: 1969).

405.	[Bookplate for Ernest Fawcett by British Columbia Department of Education]	Executed in black ink, this pre-printed textual bookplate is framed by a triple-lined border. The dotted lines have been filled in by hand in what was originally black ink but which is now green where the ink bled into the paper.

406.	[Bookplate for William Hale White]	Executed with black ink on ivory paper, this bookplate depicts a sailing vessel heading towards the horizon where the sun is rising/setting. The vessel is framed by two obelisk-shaped pillars.

407.	[Bookplate for Catholic University of Lublin by Kazimierz Wiszniewski]	Woodcut for the University Library of the Catholic University of Lubin, Poland with an eagle displayed and crown above the head of the eagle.

408.	[Bookplate for Lyman Tower Sargent]	This bookplate is executed in brown ink on white paper. In the background is a framed picture of a ship. There is also a globe and a range of books supported at each end by bookends of monks sitting and reading. In the foreground is an open book with a ink well and quill.

409.	[Bookplate for Emil Eerme and A. Lavdovsky by J. Svab]	In black and red ink, profile image of an abstract human face with a large eye. Also contains a pair of interlinked uppercase Es below.

410.	[Bookplate for Emil Eerme and A. Lavdovsky by S. Svab]	In black and yellow ink, abstract image of what look like hills or waves. The letter 'L' in the text is inverted, and following a yellow dot there are two 'E's (initials of Emil Eerme) turned on their side, thus resembling two 'M's.

411.	[Bookplate for Emil Eerme and A. Lavdovsky by V. Toots]	Stylized cursive letter E inside white circle on a black background formed by one thick letter E, and one thick backwards letter E.

412.	[Bookplate for Emil Eerme and A. Lavdovsky by Z. Dolatowski]	In black and yellow ink, image consists of an assortment of traffic signs grouped together, five of which are coloured in yellow.

417.	[Bookplate for J. H. Gill]	Black ink on brown paper. Decorated arch at top is inscribed with school motto. Within the arch we see the gable and roof of the school. Below this is text enclosed by decorated border. Lamb in a circle at very bottom.

418.	[Bookplate for Clifford E. Lee]	Black ink on white paper. Text interspersed in seven broken verticle lines.

419.	[Bookplate for Pratt Institute Free Library]	Black ink on white paper. Fine border surrounds text. Partial words in pink rubber stamp ink at bottom.

420.	[Bookplate for Military Institute of Vancouver]	Black ink on white paper. Thin border surrounds text. Arms and monogram of Military Institute at centre. Name of donor typed at bottom. Corrected typo in name.
