[Bookplate for John Jenkins D.D.] Black ink on white paper. The crest features a white lion passant reguardant with black spots standing on the top portion of a stone castle tower. The tower sits on a crest-wreath. The shield is divided per cross. Around the shield is a curling border with leafy adornments and spirals on the sides. The border is thicker on the left, right, and bottom portion. The border does not cover the entire shield ; there are gaps at the top left and right corners and at the center of the base. The top left and bottom right sections of the shield are identical. They have a black and white striped background and are charged with a white chevron decorated with black dots. They are also charged with three white fleur-de-lis, two over one around the chevron. The top right and bottom left sections of the shield are also identical. They have a white background with black dots and are charged with a black lion rampant reguardant. Below the shield, the motto is printed on a ribbon with leafy ends that match the shield’s decorative border. The motto is printed in capitalized, black, serif font. The bookplate owner’s name is printed underneath the motto in thin, sentence-case, black, cursive font. 22. [Bookplate for Joseph-Olivier Archambault] In black ink on yellow paper. A decorative border with integrated flowers and ornamentation in corners surrounds the text. 23. [Bookplate for Lesslie M. Sweetnam by F. F. H.] Printed in black ink on white or cream paper, the bookplate shows a figure reading a book while sitting at a roll top desk with his / her back facing the viewer. The desk is flanked on either side by full bookcases and is topped by a reading lamp, additional books, and a small picture frame. Two framed objects hang on the wall above the desk. 24. [Bookplate for Marcus Brown Westhead] In black ink on white paper, this bookplate consists of a shield quartered. First and fourth quarter, argent, two barrulets dancette sable, between three Saracens' heads couped at the shoulders proper, wreathed round the temples, of the first and second. Second and third quarter, azure, on a fesse argent, between three martlets in chief, and the Roman fasces erect surmounting two swords in saltire, and encircled by a chaplet in base or, three chess-rooks sable. Center inescutcheon, party per chevron or and azure, in chief a mullet of six points lies between two crosses pattée of the last, and in base the front elevation of a chapel argent, the whole being charged with a crescent for difference. First crest, on a wreath of the colors, within a fetterlock or, a Saracen's head couped proper, wreathed round the temples argent and sable. Second crest, on a wreath of the colours, a demi-eagle displayed with two heads azure, charged on the breast with the fasces, swords, and chaplet, as in the arms. The escutcheon is surrounded by mantling and below a banner bears the motto 'ORA ET LABORA.'. 25. [Bookplate for Robert Hall and William Phillips Barrett by William Phillips Barrett] Printed in black ink on cream colored paper. The interior of a private library or study room is depicted. The right-hand side of the room is lined with a wall of books, which is topped with several carved busts. In the centre of the room, a large reading table holds several books and is surrounded by three chairs – an upholstered armchair on the left and two wooden chairs on the right. The books are heavy, bound manuscripts and one is open to display an illuminated frontispiece. In the background, a large bay window looks to a building with a spire that is surrounded by shrubbery. 26. [Bookplate for Robert Wilson Reford] Bookplate executed in black ink on white paper and consists of text and a simple border. 27. [Bookplate for Ruth Delia Lyman] Black ink on cream paper. A demi-bull sites atop a crest-wreath. The bull has its top legs up and a curling tail, as well as two horns. The motto is printed below the crest-wreath on a curling ribbon in capitalized, black, sans serif font. Below this image, two lines of text is printed in large, capitalized, black, sans serif font. 28. [Bookplate for William Brophy] In black ink on white or cream paper, the bookplate consists of an architectural, Egyptian-themed border with lotus flowers all around, a Sphinx in the lower right, and Egyptian wall art in the lower left. Below the school name and above the location is a monogram made of the letters CSV. Five fonts used for the text, with spaces for hand-written annotations naming the prize recipient. 29. [Bookplate] This heraldic bookplate is printed on cream paper with dark brown ink, and consists of an escutcheon, sable (black), charged with three church bells, two over one. Above the escutcheon is a helmet at three quarters profile in esquire form, with mantling radiating from it. Above the helmet is a straight wreath crested by the head of a lion in profile. Below the crest is a banner, with Latin motto within. 30. [Bookplate] A lion rampant holding a stemmed (slipped) rose above the entwined letters G or C and H, through which is woven a banner with the Latin phrase. The bookplate is rendered in some kind of red ink, which is raised from the paper both from embossing (visible on the back) and a way that the ink itself is raised from the paper. 31. [Bookplate] Five lines of text enclosed within a double border of one thick and one thin line. The words 'Cote St. Antoine' are written in a slightly curled font, and the words 'Methodist S.S. Library' are in bold. There is a space for the number of the book to be written in by hand. The bookplate also includes the terms of borrowing. 32. [Bookseller's Tickets for J.A.
