	Title:	Description:

1.	[Bookplate for Vincent Massey and Alice Massey by Alexander Scott Carter]	Black ink on white paper. This coat of arms is described in great detail by the Royal Heraldry Society of Canada (RHSC), in their 'Members' Roll of Arms,' under the entry for the Rt. Hon. Charles Vincent Massey. They write: 'The arms argent [silver], on a chevron sable [black] between three lozenges of the last, each charged with a fleur de lis of the first, three stags' heads erased or [gold] ; on a canton azure [blue], a representation of the crest of Canada as an honourable augmentation. The crest out of an antique crown or, a bull's head sable, armed gold, charged on the neck with a lozenge argent, thereon a fleur de lis also sable.' This bookplate adheres to the design described above by the RHSC, though the 'honourable augmentation,' of the Canadian crest in dexter chief, does not appear in this escutcheon.

2.	[Bookplate]	This royal bookplate, in black ink, contains two shields surrounded by a border of floral branches and elaborately twisting rope. The dexter shield represents the Arms of the ducs de Berry (after 1376). This shield, azure (blue), with an embattled bordure, gules (red) is charged with three fleurs-de-lis, two over one. The sinister shield represents the coat of arms of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. Above the two shields is a royal crown adorned with fleur-de-lis.

3.	[Bookplate for Charles Carroll]	Bookplate consists of an escutcheon, in a scalloped chippendale style, charged with two lions rampant, between which is a sword. Escutcheon is charged with a straight wreath and an eagle with wings elevated. Cherub also stands beside the escutcheon.

4.	[Bookplate for George H. Fensom by Walter Lohse]	Black and yellow ink on thick, cream coloured paper. This bookplate features a well-lit, paned window framing a rearing Pegasus. Plants and vines surround the window.

5.	[Bookplate for James Ross Ballantyne]	In black ink. An obelisk or tower with a door in front of and between black mountains.

6.	[Bookplate for Jonathon H. Magor]	Black ink on white coated paper. This bookplate depicts the couped head of a greyhound with two collars above a straight wreath.

7.	[Bookseller's Ticket for J. T. Brousseau]	A rectangular ticket, in black ink on blue paper.

8.	[Bookplate]	In brown ink on white or cream paper, the bookplate consists of a thin border surrounding brown text, with the name of the company/library in a Roman-style font.

9.	[Bookseller's Ticket for J. T. Brousseau]	Printed in black in on blue paper, this bookplate has an ornate border surrounding the text.

10.	[Bookplate for Dunbar Browne]	A floral, somewhat art nouveau style border surrounding the text.

11.	[Bookplate for Fiction Inn Circulating Library]	Printed in black ink, the text discloses terms of use for the circulating library. Includes pre-printed form for checking in/out books. One and a partial date are visible, stamped in blue ink.

12.	[Bookplate for Hopital Général d’Ottawa]	Black ink on cream paper. The bookplate features a border consisting of thick, black wavy lines with arrows on the ends of each line pointing towards the corner. Each corner has three diamonds shaped in a triangle. Inside the border, there is a circular image with a border of two interwoven black wavy lines. Inside that border is capitalized text printed in bold, black, sans serif front. In the center of the circle is a cross coming out of the ground wrapped in vines. Above and below the cross are two ribbons with mottos printed in capitalized, black, sans serif front. At the bottom of the bookplate, outside of the circular design, but inside the first border, is text printed in capitalized, black, serif font.

13.	[Bookplate for Basil Woodd Smith]	In black ink, this bookplate consists of an ovular garter as bordure around the originator's name. The Latin motto is present on the garter.

14.	[Bookplate for Hugh Lyle Smyth]	In black ink, this bookplate consists of an escutcheon, argent (silver), containing an invected bend, azure (blue). The escutcheon is charged with two unicorn heads, gules (red) and erased, at dexter base and sinister chief ; the bend is charged with three lozenges, ermine (white powdered fur with black tufts). Above the escutcheon is a dexter closed helmet, which is topped by a ducal coronet and a unicorn head, gules and erased, with lozenge, ermine. From either side of the helmet flows elaborate mantling. Below the escutcheon is a banner containing the Latin motto.

15.	[Bookplate for David Bond and Elizabeth Bond]	Bookplate design features an eagle in flight in foreground, with compass in background. Bookplate owner names at base.

16.	[Bookplate for David Bond]	Bookplate design features a woodland scene, of a brook and foliage at foreground and trees at back. Bookplate text contained within banner at top.

17.	[Bookplate for George H. Fensom by Thoreau MacDonald]	In black ink. Landscape featuring a cabin overlooking a lake.

18.	[Bookplate for Joseph-Olivier Archambault]	In black ink on yellow paper. A decorative border with integrated flowers and ornamentation in corners surrounds the text.

19.	[Bookseller's Ticket for John Mercier McMullen]	In black ink on blue paper, the bookseller's ticket consists of a triple border with decorative corners surrounding black text in roman and italic type. The bottom right corner of the bookseller's ticket has been ripped away and replaced with white paper.

20.	[Bookplate for James Bell]	Centered text in black ink, with three fonts.
