[Bookseller's Ticket for R. & C. Chalmers] In black ink on yellow paper, the bookseller's ticket consists of a decorative border surrounding black text. 182. [Bookplate for W. J. Bradley] In black ink on white paper, the bookplate consists of centered Gothic text in black ink. 183. [Bookplate for Brockville Library] In black ink on tan paper, the bookplate consists of a double zigzag border surrounding black text. The library name at the top is flanked by two rosettes and separated from the remaining text by a decorative rule. 184. [Bookplate for Baron de Hirsch Institute and Hebrew Benevolent Society] All printed markings in blue ink, all manuscript notes in black ink. Thin lines form a vertical rectangle with three vertically-stacked cells. The top cell contains the name of the library. The middle cell contains the seal of the institute: two concentric rings with the name and dates of the institute surrounding the inner circle, which contains a Star of David surrounding some Hebrew text. The seal has been inverted, so that it appears as white markings in a blue square. The bottom cell contains a space for presentation notes. Preprinted dotted and solid lines are present between the text. A red imprint, caused by prolonged contact with another bookplate, is clearly visible on the back and bleeds through to the front of the ivory paper. 188. [Bookplate by Colonist Lithography] In black ink on cream paper. The top center contains the coat of arms, flanked by elaborate leafy scrollwork. In the center is text in multiple bold fonts identifying the book number and library number (with gray rectangles where these numbers were handwritten). The bottom third contains the small text rules. Surrounding everything are two thin borders, between which, on the bottom edge, is the name of the lithographer. 189. [Bookplate for Montreal Theological Training College] Printed in black ink, a very ornate border surrounds the text. 190. [Bookplate for Jas Christison] The text is surrounded by a patterned border. 191. [Bookplate] A simple border surrounds the text. On the top left is the crest of Cercle La Salle. It shows a shield divided in three: at the top is a lit oil lamp, on the bottom left are three vertical fleur-de-lis and at the bottom right is a cross over top of a crossed pen and sword. A banner over the top of the crest contains the name of the organization and one at the bottom contains the motto. Maple branches present a wreath at the bottom. 192. [Bookplate for Edward Hilton Chaloner by Rust Craft Publishers] A thin border surrounds the text ; the top of the border is in the shape of a bookshelf with curved backing. Depicted on it are several books, with one open in the middle. A candle sits in front of the open book. At the bottom left and right corners of the border are images of the globe. The bottom line of the border contains oak leaves and acorns in the centre. The creator of the bookplate is listed as Rust Craft, Boston U. S. A. 193. [Bookplate for Lieutenant Colonel E. L. Caldwell] A simple line border surrounds the text. There are small circles framing each corner. 194. [Bookplate for Carleton Place High School] A wavy border surrounds the words. The name 'Carleton Place' is written in slightly smaller sans-serif font, and underneath the words 'High School Library' are written in a larger serif font. There are three lines and then the name of the department to which the book belonged. Underneath this are three more lines, and then the class number to which the book belonged. 195. [Bookplate] The text of the bookplate is surrounded by an elaborate border decorated with various religious figures and themes. Angels kneel on either side of the upper corners and face inwards towards a man holding a book and looking outwards from an arch. The sides are decorated with ornate columns, at the bottom of which are crosses and a symbol of the Holy Trinity. Both the top and bottom portions of the border are decorated with stylized curls. The word 'Catholic' is printed in a bold font, and 'Circulating Library' is in a curly stylized Gothic font. The rules of the library are divided from the rest of the text by bars at the top and bottom, and there is a hand symbol pointing to the library's hours of operation at the bottom of the bookplate. The price of the library subscription is given in shillings, dating this to the era of the Canadian pound which was in use until currency decimalization came into force in 1858. 196. [Bookplate for Carnegie Library of Ottawa] There are two solid, black line borders around the text. The bookplate is printed in black ink, and the words 'Carnegie Library of Ottawa' are printed in red ink in a Gothic script. Two thin black lines separate the words 'Carnegie Library of Ottawa' from the 'library rules' text. 197. [Bookplate for J. G. Chilcott] The text is in the centre of the bookplate, surrounded by a vine-like border. Four small flowers are in each corner of the border. The text 'TRURO' is bolded. 198. [Bookplate] Five lines of text enclosed within a double border of one thick and one thin line. The words 'Cote St. Antoine' are written in a slightly curled font, and the words 'Methodist S.S. Library' are in bold. There is a space for the number of the book to be written in by hand. The bookplate also includes the terms of borrowing. 199. [Bookplate for Congregational College of British North America] The bookplate has a geometric border with stylized flowers on the corners. Within the border, the text 'Congregational College' is in a Gothic typeface, and the words 'of British North America' are in a simple sans-serif. 200. [Bookplate] The bookplate is printed in navy blue ink. The name, address, telephone number and hours are printed at the top. Underneath this block of text is a line, and the remainder of the bookplate is split into two halves. The headings 'terms' 'time limit' 'renewal notice' and 'care' are printed on the left-hand side of the split, and the corresponding information is printed on the right-hand side.
