4.	[Bookplate for W.H. Smith & Son]	Printed in black ink on purple paper, this textual bookplate is framed by a single-lined border in which a circled design is place in each corner. Affixed by a paper clip to the top right corner is a square, white stamp printed in black ink. Its text is: Finsbury London / Institution, Circus. E. 642 21 days.

5.	[Bookplate for David Stewart Erskine]	This bookplate consists of an escutcheon, quartered per cross, and contains an inescutcheon. The first quarter, azure (blue), contains three garbe, two over one. The second quarter is itself quartered per cross, first and fourth quarters, azure with an or (gold) riband and six cross crosslets fitchy sable (black) ; the second and third quarters are argent (silver), with a pale, sable. The third quarter of the escutcheon is also itself quartered per cross, first and fourth quarters, or, with a fess in checky (alternate squares of metal and fur), argent and azure ; the second and third quarters are azure, containing three garbe, two over one. The fourth quarter, argent, with six bars, gemelles (doubles), contains a lion rampant, sable and proper. The inescutcheon, gules (red) contains an eagle, displayed and proper, and a ray of sun issuing out of the dexter corner. Atop the escutcheon is the coronet of an earl, topped by a grated helmet (peer), dexter. Upon the helmet is a curved crest wreath and a dexter cubit arm holding a club. From either side of the crest flows elaborate mantling. The escutcheon is accompanied by two supporters. The dexter supporter is an ostrich, while the sinister supporter is a griffin. Below the escutcheon and the supporters is a banner containing the English motto.

6.	[Bookplate for Peter Cameron]	In black ink. This bookplate consists of escutcheon, barry of seven pieces, argent (silver) and gules (red). The crest, atop a straight wreath, appears as a dexter arm, vambraced, and holding a sword. Below the escutcheon is a banner containing the latin motto.

7.	[Bookplate for Charles Girdlestone]	In black ink, this bookplate consists of the image of a church. A plate mark can be seen along the left hand side of the bookplate.

9.	[Bookplate for James C. Dewar]	In black ink. This bookplate consists of escutcheon, or (gold), with a chief, azure (blue). The crest is of a dexter arm grasping a sword, vambranced to the dexter. Above the escutcheon is a banner containing the Latin motto.

[Bookplate for Ferdinand I Czar of Bulgaria]	In black ink, this complex bookplate contains an escutcheon divided quarterly ; the first and fourth quadrants contain a lion, salient and crowned (it is unclear what colour these quadrants would be due to the printing process) ; the second quadrant, argent (silver) contains two pallets, likely sable (black), and a sable chief charged with two crowns, argent, possibly signifying eastern or celestial crowns ; and the third quadrant, argent, contains two manche facing one another, with arms and hands emerging, together holding a crown. At the fess point is an inescutcheon, which bears the coat of arms of Saxony ; barry of ten pieces, or (gold) and sable, with a garter (vert), floral invection on sinister side. The escutcheon is crested by a royal crown framed by a circular halo. The escutcheon is supported by two lions, wearing royal crowns, each also framed by a circular halo. From around the waist of each lion descends a collar which meets at the nombril point below the escutcheon ; from this point hangs the Grand Cross Of The Order Of Saint Cyril and Saint Methodius. At either side of the order is a banner containing the originator's designation. Above the crest and supporters are two sets of fleur-de-lis, two over one, signifying the House of Bourbon ; and an additional banner.

11.	[Bookplate for James Hatch]	In black ink, an escutcheon, gules (red), charged with two lions passant guardant, with their hind legs couped. Over the lions at the fess point is an inescutcheon parted per pale, ermine (white powdered fur with black tufts) and ermines (field sable fur, powdering argent), a chevron sable (black) and argent (silver) with four lozenges ermine and ermines, between three fleur-de-lis argent, two over one. The crest is a lion cabossed on a straight wreath. Below the escutcheon is a banner containing the Latin motto.

12.	[Bookplate for Vincent Stuckey]	In black in, this bookplate consists of and escutcheon divided per pale. The dexter half is divided per bend sinister, or (gold), azure (blue) and dove-tailed, and charged with a lion, rampant and ermine with a tail queue fourché. At the dexter chief of the half is an azure canton charged with a mascle, or. The sinister half of the escutcheon is identical to the dexter, except that at it also contains a crescent at middle chief. The escutcheon is crested by a straight crest wreath and a demi-lion with tail queue fourché, ermine and charged with a mascle, azure. Below the escutcheon is a banner containing the Latin motto.

[Bookplate for Philip Southcote]	In black ink, this bookplate consists of an elaborately bordered escutcheon, argent (silver), charged with a chevron, argent, three ducks, two over one and dexter, and an annulet at the precise middle chief. The annulet symbolizes the fifth son. The escutcheon is crested by a dexter closed helmet. Atop the helmet is a curved wreath and another duck, dexter. From either side of the crest flows elaborate mantling.

14.	[Bookplate for James John Joicey]	This bookplate is printed on light brown paper with brown ink. It consists of an escutcheon argent (silver), and three diamonds in pale between two endorses in a crosshatch pattern. The escutcheon is charged with a pick-axe at both dexter and sinister. Above the escutcheon is a helmet, positioned at three-quarter profile, indicating the status of peer. Upon the helmet is a straight wreath, charged with a young man holding a pick-axe and lantern. Radiating from the wreath is elaborate mantling. Below the escutcheon is a banner, with Latin motto within. Entire crest is contained within a border, with name of bookplate owner at bottom.

15.	[Bookplate for Christopher Tower]	In black ink. This bookplate consists of an escutcheon sable (black), a tower with two windows. Above the escutcheon is a straight crest wreath topped with a gryphon, passant. Below the escutcheon is a banner containing the English motto.

16.	[Bookplate for Thomas Taylor by James Cole]	In black ink. This bookplate consists of an escutcheon, sable (black) charged at the nombril point with a lion statant. The rococo escutcheon has scalloped edges at the top and is surrounded by vegetative mantling. Hidden in the mantling is the creator's signature, Cole sc. Above the crest is a straight wreath charged with a leopard statant and below the escutcheon is a banner containing Taylor's Latin motto.

Above the escutcheon is a straight crest wreath on which is a cubit arm, erect, issuing from a cloud, in the hand a branch of olive, all proper. Below the escutcheon is a banner containing the Latin motto.

[Bookplate for Castle-Freke Library by Griffiths and Weigall]	This bookplate consists of an escutcheon divided per pale, with the dexter half divided into six, each with unique charges, and the sinister half, gules (red), charged with a simple fess or (gold). The dexter half is charged with three cross crosslet fitched, two over one. The escutcheon is supported by two lions, rampand reguardant. Above the escutcheon are two crests, both straight wreaths charged with an ox's head couped and a lion rampant reguardant holding another beast's head. Above the crests is a baron coronet. Below the escutcheon is a banner, with Latin motto within. Bookplate is cut to border, which has blunted corners.

19.	[Bookplate for Octavius Wigram by Suffield]	In black ink. Argent, a pallet, gules, charged with three escallops, one over two divided by a chevronnel, engrailed, countercharged, gules (red). A chief, argent (silver), a ship representing an English vessel of war of the 16th century, with four masts, sails furled proper, and a flag, azure (blue), sitting on the water. Above the escutcheon is a straight crest wreath on which is a mount supporting a hand in armour, in fess, couped at the wrist proper, charged with an escallop and holding a fleur-de-lis erect. Below the escutcheon is a banner containing the Latin motto.

The escutcheon, argent (silver), is charged with a mullet, pierced, azure (blue), at the fess point, surrounded by three cross crosslets, fitched, gules (red), two over one. The shield itself is constructed from rococo scrolls and is surrounded by elaborate vegetative mantling, finishing in a pair of tassels. Above the escutcheon is a peer helmet, charged with a straight wreath, and a cubit arm, clutching a cross crosslet fitchy. Below the escutcheon is a banner displaying the originators Latin motto.
