[Bookplate for George H. Fensom by Walter Lohse] Black and yellow ink on thick, cream coloured paper. This bookplate features a well-lit, paned window framing a rearing Pegasus. Plants and vines surround the window. 82. [Bookplate for George E. Longley by Francis Adams Sc.] Black ink on white paper with cropped corners. The crest features an arm grasping a dagger. The blade of the dagger has pierced the head of a bearded man that resembles a lion head. The arm is atop a crest-wreath. The wreath sits on a flower with a round center and 5 petals. To strips extend out of the flower across the front and back of a ribbon, connecting to the top of the shield. The ribbon extends straight out with curling ends. The motto is printed on the ribbon in black, capitalized, serif font. Shield is ermine with a black bend. Bend charged with three cheetah heads. Underneath the shield, the bookplate owner’s name is printed in elaborate gothic block font. The first letter of each part of the name is outlined with a black border, while the remaining letters are printed in black. Swirling lines and dots embellish the text. Below the name, a location is printed in smaller, sentence case, black serif font. Underneath this text is another swirling line with several dots, to the right of which text is printed in capitalized block serif letters with black outlines. In the bottom left of the bookplate, the creator’s name is printed in small, black, sentence case, serif font. 83. [Bookplate for Garnet Joseph Wolseley by Charles William Sherborn] This heraldic bookplate consists of an escutcheon, argent (silver), charged with a talbot passant, gules (red), and a mullet above at centre chief. The escutcheon is supported by a wolf, rampant clutching swords at dexter and sinister. The escutcheon is set within a garter-like setting, from which various military medals hang. Above the escutcheon is a viscount coronet, sans the cap, with a grated helmet at three-quarters, further delineating the rank of viscount. Upon the helmet rests a ducal coronet, which is charged with a wolf's head. Behind the wolf is a small banner with first Latin motto within (the family motto of Wolseley of Wolseley, Co. Stafford, Barts.), and below the supporters and escutcheon is a second banner, with second Latin motto within (the family motto of Wolseley of Mount Wolseley, Co. Carlow, Barts.), along with a larger banner with bookplate owner's name and title. Elaborate mantling radiates from the helmet, and the entire bookplate is encased in a ribbed border. 84. [Bookplate for Gamble Geddes] Black ink on cream paper. Crest features half a fish hauriant showing a fin, gills, and a head with teeth atop a crest-wreath. Sable shield charged with three of the aforementioned fish heads two over one and an argent insecutcheon. There is a ribbon-like banner with the motto below the shield with curling ends. Each side of the ribbon is angled towards a downward point. On the left side is text in capitalized black serif-font. The right side of the ribbon overlaps the left and has text in the same font. Below the motto, the owner’s name is written in curling sentence-case font. 85. [Bookplate for G. P. Girdwood] Oval-shaped circular border with legend containing a motto printed in capital block letters across the top half. Bottom half of the border has shading, decorate circles, and a decorative end. Border made to look like a ribbon, one end of which loops over the bottom of the oval. End of the ribbon has thin borders, circular decorations, and almost tapers to a point with decorative curls at the end. In the center of the oval is a demi-lion rampant guardant. In its right paw, the lion holds a tree with round foliage at the top and sprawling roots at its base. Below the image is text written in stylized sentence-case serif font. 86. [Bookplate for Frederic William Howay] At the top is a sea otter resting on the sand with a mountainous coast in the background. Below that within a shield-shaped frame is a picture of a sailing vessel with the title "SEA OTTER" on the stern. The shield is surrounded by various sea shells, with a banner displaying the bookplate text. 87. [Bookplate for Frederic Lumb Wanklyn] In brown ink on white paper, a flying duck within a darkened circle is at the centre of the bookplate. It appears to be affixed to a post, on top of which there is a sign that reads 'Ex Libris F.L. Wanklyn.' The post is standing in a marsh. 88. [Bookplate for Frank McIver] Ornate border surrounding the text, all in black ink on tan paper with some pink staining. Manuscript notes in brownish ink. 89. [Bookplate for Frank John Joseph] Black ink on cream paper. The crest features a bushel of wheat tied with a ribbon around the center atop a crest-wreath. Shield is divided per chevron. The background is black and it is charged with five smaller bushels three over two. The three bushels are above the chevron and the remaining two are below. The shield is decorated with an elaborate white border. Below the shield, the motto is printed in black, capitalized, block sans serif font on a curling ribbon with decorative ends. Underneath the motto, the bookplate owner’s name is printed in black, sentence case gothic font. 90. [Bookplate for Francois-Xavier Bosse Mgr.] In black ink, a decorative border surrounding the text. 91. [Bookplate for Francois Biron] In black ink on tan paper, the bookplate consists of a background of black ink with inversed / knocked out lettering in tan. 92. [Bookplate for Emmanuel Church Sunday School] Black ink on cream paper. Floral border surrounds text. Includes one hand-written identification number and rubber-stamped date, both in black ink. A light “X” is drawn across the plate in pencil. 93. [Bookplate for Emil Eerme and A. Lavdovsky by A. Lee] Abstract brown image on an agua-green background. Image includes a musical instrument (possibly a double bass), a human figure, a book, and a picture frame. 94. [Bookplate for Edith Dair and Carl Dair] A man, bare-chested stands on a rocky outcropping, holding a book in his hand, balanced against his thigh. Light streams from above. Chestnut coloured ink on cream background. Originators' names in black type. 95. [Bookplate for Ecole polytechnique] In black ink on thick pink paper with visible laid lines. Image includes a rectangular decorative border consisting of straight lines at the sides and more elaborate patterns in the corners surrounding 20 lines of text. 96. [Bookplate for E. R. Hunter by Thoreau MacDonald] Printed in black ink on cream paper. The image shows a loon facing left, in profile, with its beak open. It is framed by ripples of water above and below. In the background, two islands are reflected in the water. The island on the left is larger than the one on the right. At the bottom of the bookplate, the personal name and geographic location are provided in an all-caps, serif font. This is framed by two squares containing mirror images of a closed pine cone on an evergreen sprig. 97. [Bookplate for Dunbar Browne] A floral, somewhat art nouveau style border surrounding the text. 98. [Bookplate for Douglas Battersby] In black ink on yellow paper, the bookplate consists of an ornate decorative border surrounding the text. The text is a Gothic typeface, except for the city. There are significant stains around the edges of the bookplate. 100.
