[Bookplate for Herbert Wilson Greene] Heraldic bookplate in black ink on white paper. At the top of the shield is mantling above which are an erased dragon on a wreathe. Below the dragon is a closed helmet in profile facing sinister. The per pale shield is or (sinister) and azure (dexter) with three trippant stags. Below the shield is the following motto: "Nescia Fallere Vita." 2. [Bookplate for Victor W. Odlum] The bookplate depicts several images representing aspects of Odlum's life and is printed in black and red on white paper. At the top of the bookplate is the family crest depicting a crowned owl (a pun on the pronunciation of the family name) and the motto "Vita Est Vigila." Underneath that is the Canadian flag and then below this is a series of biographically significant images. From left to right: a Turkish flag ; crossed swords and dates he served in the Boer War, World War One and World War Two ; and an outline of Australia and a kangaroo. Below this series is an ancient Chinese character (Odlum's chop), a printing press ; and gardening tools, and books on shelves. 3. [Bookplate for Victor W. Mussett - The Heraldic Studio] In brown ink, escutcheon divided quarterly. The first and fourth quadrants divided per pale, or (gold) and azure (blue), three stags trippant, two over one, all counter changed. The second and third quadrants, or, with a fess, gules (red) between three olive branches, two over one. Atop the escutcheon is a helmet with mantling, below a demi-dragon crest, azure, gorged, argent (silver). 5. [Bookplate for Garnet Joseph Wolseley by Charles William Sherborn] This heraldic bookplate consists of an escutcheon, argent (silver), charged with a talbot passant, gules (red), and a mullet above at centre chief. The escutcheon is supported by a wolf, rampant clutching swords at dexter and sinister. The escutcheon is set within a garter-like setting, from which various military medals hang. Above the escutcheon is a viscount coronet, sans the cap, with a grated helmet at three-quarters, further delineating the rank of viscount. Upon the helmet rests a ducal coronet, which is charged with a wolf's head. Behind the wolf is a small banner with first Latin motto within (the family motto of Wolseley of Wolseley, Co. Stafford, Barts.), and below the supporters and escutcheon is a second banner, with second Latin motto within (the family motto of Wolseley of Mount Wolseley, Co. Carlow, Barts.), along with a larger banner with bookplate owner's name and title. Elaborate mantling radiates from the helmet, and the entire bookplate is encased in a ribbed border. 6. [Bookplate for Mark Rowe by W. J. B.] In brown ink on thick paper, the Latin motto sits above swags of maple leaves and flowers which surround a shield with the stylized initials, M.R., located in the centre of the bookplate. 7. [Bookplate for Jos-N. Chaussé M.D.] Black ink on cream paper. An oval border with decoration at the top and bottom surrounds an illustration of a naked female figure whose arms are turning into tree branches, referencing Daphne of Greek mythology. The women’s tree branch arms extend beyond the oval border. She is looking to her left with a laurel crown on other head tied with ribbons while her long black hair flows past her right shoulder. A long, curling ribbon wraps around her back upper body, across her torso, and then back around her legs. Text is printed on the ribbon in bold, black, capitalized, serif font. The woman stands with her ankles crossed and is wearing strappy open-toe flat shoes. She stands in front of an open book. In the top left corner of the left page are initials printed in capitalized, stylized, block font. The woman also stands atop of a closed book, with its pages facing the viewer.
