[Bookplate by Eiichi Hirose] The central image is of three snow capped white mountains with black and grey bases. The foremost of the mountains starts at the right half of the image and moves backwards towards the left. Rapping around the image of the closest mountain near the separation between black, grey and white colours is the image of a green asian dragon with orange wings. 2. [Bookplate by Eiichi Hirose] The classical image of a cat puppet or doll is central to the image. It has green and blue coverings with white kanji script, blue/black eyes and black patches on its forepaws. Its foreground is placed at the right and it moves backwards towards the left part of the bookplate. 3. [Bookplate by Eiichi Hirose] The central image is of a brown horse or cow with a black and orange head. It is carrying two round blue cylinders on its back and is mounted on a brown wooden platform support. It is drawn to appear a toy or a nicknack. Its foreground is at the left and it moves backwards towards the right. 4. [Bookplate by Eiichi Hirose] The central image is one of the best known of Japanese castles, Himeiji Castle, to the west of Osaka. The central donjon is shown with a low building in the forefront. The castle is shown with a green background and two grey rumpled outlined beige images are present at the top and bottom of the bookplate. Within these two images are the text identifying the bookplate. The foreground of the castle starts at the center and moves back towards the upper right. 5. [Bookplate for Emil Eerme and A. Lavdovsky by A. Lee] In blue and red ink, abstract image of what appears to be an eye-like shape projecting, from the iris, a beam downwards through two empty eye-like shapes and a third eye-like shape that seems to represent the eyelashes. The beam moves downward beyond these shapes and appears to illuminate a tree-like shape at the bottom. Text appears vertically along left border. 6. [Bookplate for John George Hodgins] Black ink on white paper. The crest features a displayed black bird on a crest-wreath. At the top left of the bird, next to the tip of its wing, is a small radiating sun with a face in the middle. There is an esquire’s helm surrounded by dark, feathery mantling. The border of the shield is similarly elaborate. The shield is argent and charged with an argent cross with thin black border around each rectangular section. The shield is also charged with five black flowers that have five round petals and a circular black center. There is a flower in each corner of the shield and one in the center of the cross with a thin, black, square border. Below the shield, the motto is printed on a ribbon with curling, darkened ends. The motto is written in black, capitalized, serif font.
