NotesThe passage quoted on the bookplate is from John Keats' poem Endymion: A Poetic Romance (1818) which recounts the Greek myth of the shepherd boy Endymion in Asia Minor who was the mortal lover of the moon goddess Selene. This bookplate may have belonged to mountaineer and writer Cuthbert Wilfrid Frank Noyce (1917-1962).
