NotesIn Prescott's "A List of Canadian Bookplates, " there is a listing for Geo. Campbell. He was born in Tatamagonche, Nova Scotia in 1832, began to practice law in 1856, and later became a partner with the Honourable Adams G. Archibald (the first Canadian Secretary of State and the first Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba and the Northwest Territories and Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia), until 1867. However, it is not known if this is the same Geo. Campbell of this bookplate.
