Notes | Frederick Claude Vivian Lane (1880-1969) was an Australian printer, who was partner in the printing and stationary firm of Smith & Lane in Sydney. He is most well known as a swimmer, and was Australia's first Olympic swimmer ; he won the 200 metre freestyle in the 1900 Paris Olympics and retired from swimming in 1902. References: 1) G. P.
