The creator of this bookplate, Avis Selina Fyshe (1886 - ?), was the granddaughter of Anna Leonowens (the inspiration for 'The King and I') and wife of Thomas Fyshe, Scottish Banker and one of the top executives of the Bank of Nova Scotia.
