NotesThe Collège de Saint-Laurent, the oldest educational institution in Saint-Laurent, Montréal, was founded by Père Louis Vérité of the Père de Sainte-Croix in 1847. In 1880, the Collège de Saint-Laurent became affiliated with the Faculty of Arts at the Université Laval, and in 1922 became affiliated with the Faculty of Arts at the University of Montréal. The Collège was later sold to the government of Québec in 1967, and, in 1968, the Collège became Le Collège d'Enseignement Générale et Professionne (Cégep) de Saint-Laurent, where approximately 3, 000 students are enrolled in 18 programs of study in arts and sciences, environmental studies and technologies.
