NotesW. J. M. Jones was a Montreal businessman. He was a dealer in railway supplies, a founding investor in The Graphic Company in 1872, a clerk in the Crown Lands Department, and he was a city councilor for Longueuil. He was a founding member of the Longueuil Boating Club in 1867 and served on various Board positions in the club. He was also part of the Young Canada Cricket Club.
