| Notes | This bookplate features the main entrance to University College at the University of Toronto, built in 1857. It likely belonged to Kennedy Crawford McIlwraith, son of Thomas McIlwraith a noted businessman and ornithologist who immigrated to Ontario, Canada from Ayr, Scotland. His son, Kennedy McIlwraith (1868-1941), was a Professor of Obstetrics at the University of Toronto and senior obstetric surgeon at the Burnside Hospital in Toronto. During his medical career, McIlwraith authored several articles on obstetrics and was published multiple times in the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
