NotesJoseph-Olivier was born on August 16, 1805 at Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu, Québec, and died on February 9, (1876 or 1877) in Saint-Timothée. He is the third son of Joseph-Marie Archambault (December 2, 1766'September 18, 1832 ; son of Jean Baptiste Archambault and Francoise Bousquet) and Monique Durocher (daughter of Benjamin Durocher and Geneviève Marchesseau) who married on October 5, 1789. Joseph-Marie Archambault and Monique Durocher had 14 children, 7 boys and 7 girls. Joseph-Olivier was ordained on March 2, 1833 in Montréal, île de Montréal, Québec. He was curate at Vaudreuil, and in 1836 he was curate at Longueuil. From 1837'1876, Joseph-Olivier Archambault was pastor of Saint-Timothée. In 1851, he built the Collège Salaberry, home education for boys, on 88 Rue Saint-Laurent. The institution was the first real Collège in the greater region. Later in 1975, the Collège Salaberry building became the town hall of the old town of Saint-Timothée.
