NotesDonald Guthrie (1840-1915) was a Scottish-born lawyer and politician based in Guelph. He joined the Ontario Bar in 1866. As a member of the Liberal party, he served on the federal Canadian House of Commons for five years and provincial Legislative Assembly of Ontario (serving Wellington County) for eight years. Guthrie was also appointed Queen's Counsel.
