| Transcript | RICHMOND LIBRARY AND READING ROOMS RULES OF THE CIRCULATING LIBRARY 1. The Library is opened for the issue of books on Tues- days and Fridays from 3 to 4 o'click for the convenience of ladies only, and between 7 and 9 in the evening for all. 2. Each subscriber may have out of the Library one book, or all the vols. of a novel at one time. 3. No book shall be kept more than 14 days, inclusive of the days of delivery and return. 4. If a book be not returned at the due time the subscribers shall pay a fine of threepence for the first week, and sixpence for every succeeding week until the books is returned or paid for. 5. Members lending books to non-subscribers are liable to a fine of five shillings in each case. 6. Any borrower losing or injuring a book shall replace it, or pay its value to the Institute. 7. The quarterly subscription to the library is 2s 6d for adults, and 1s 6d for youths under 18, payable in advance. Weeks, Crown Printing office, Gloucester St. West. |
